The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the Ambassador of Hungary, Attila Pintér today, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and various cooperation between the two countries, and especially the implementation of joint infrastructure projects.

President Vučić pointed out that the relations between Serbia and Hungary are at the highest level in the common history, thanks to mutual understanding and trust, emphasizing Prime Minister Orban's commitment to strengthening the partnership between our two countries.

On this occasion, President Vučić also expressed his gratitude for the active support that Hungary provides to Serbia in the process of European integration.

Ambassador Pintér informed President Vučić about the progress in the reconstruction of Serbian schools in Hungary, for which the government in Budapest allocates significant funds, in order to contribute to the improvement of the position of the Serbian minority.

Thanking the Hungarian Government for caring for the Serbian minority, President Vučić and Ambassador Pintér discussed plans to erect memorials to important figures from the common history in Belgrade.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the upcoming laying of the foundation stone for the section of the railway from Novi Sad to Kelebija, emphasizing that this project, as part of the single European railway network and Corridor 10, is of strategic importance not only for Serbia and Hungary, but for Europe as a whole.

The two interlocutors also discussed other joint projects, emphasizing that it is in the interest of both countries that a high level of political relations ensures an even greater economic cooperation.
