Serbia and Hungary signed today in Palić, in the presence of both countries’ heads of state, several agreements that will ensure further strengthening of cooperation, among which are agreements in the field of defense and internal affairs, as well as for the construction of a new oil pipeline and the establishment of a joint gas trading company.
 
The agreements were signed after the First session of the Strategic Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, which was attended by the presidents of Serbia and Hungary, Aleksandar Vučić and Katalin Novák, as well as the prime ministers, Ana Brnabić and Viktor Orbán.
 
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Hungarian President Katalin Novák signed the Joint Political Statement on the establishment of the Strategic Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.
 
The agreement on cooperation between the National General Directorate for Foreigners of Hungary and the Ministry of the Interior of Serbia (asylum and migration) was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Daćić and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
 
 
Dačić and Szijjártó also signed the Agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on amendments to the Agreement on border traffic control in road, rail and water traffic, as well as the Protocol on co-location in the Embassy of Serbia in Kinshasa between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
 
The Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of the Hungary-Serbia oil pipeline was signed by the Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedović and Szijjártó.
 
The agreement between Serbia and Hungary on the exchange and mutual protection of secret data was signed by the director of the Office of the Council for National Security and Data Protection Goran Matić and minister Szijjártó.
 
The annual work plan for 2022/23 based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the government of Serbia and the government of Hungary on professional assistance for negotiations on Serbia’s accession to the EU was signed by Minister of Justice of Serbia Maja Popović and Minister of Justice of Hungary Judit Varga.
 
The agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on improved strategic cooperation in the field of defense was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Minister of Defence of Hungary Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
 
The memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary on modernisation and digitalisation in the field of agriculture was signed by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanasković and Minister of Agriculture of Hungary István Nagy.
 
The agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on cooperation in the field of development and improvement of road infrastructure was signed by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić and Minister of Construction and Transport of Hungary János Lázár.
 
The statement of intent on electronic data exchange between the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance of Serbia and the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary was signed by the Director of the Customs Administration of Serbia Branko Radujko and Minister of Finance of Hungary Mihály Varga.
 
The Agreement on the establishment of SERBHUNGAS limited liability company Novi Sad was also signed, and initialed by the director of Srbijagas Dusan Bajatovic and general director of MVM CEEnergy Zrt László Zoltán Fritsch.
