The „Serbian Days“ manifestation was opened in Tekelijanum in Budapest on October 1st, marking the begining of the Serbian Culture Month in Hungary.
 
The Bishop of Buda Lukijan, addressed the audience first who thanked especially the President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the Minister without Portfolio responsible for coordination of activities and measures in the field of relatios with the Diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, for the support that the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska provide to the Diocese of Buda and the Serbian community in Hungary. Bishop emphasized that the goal of this event is to return Serbian culture in Hungary to its rightful place.
 
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Minister Đorđe Milićević addressed the gathering, and conveyed the support of the Government of Serbia to the Serbian people in Hungary and expressed his satisfaction at participating in the program that brings together Serbs and promotes Serbian culture in the best possible way.
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, thanked Bishop Lukijan for his blessing to establish the „Serbian Days“ manifestation. President Dodik spoke about the position of Republika Srpska, but also about the efforts to preserve Srpska and the national identity of the Serbian people wherever they are, especially in times like today's - which are not favorable to Serbs at all. He emphasized the importance of spreading the truth about Serbs through nurturing culture and tradition, especially in a country like Hungary, for which he is especially grateful to Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
 
At the end of his address, President Dodik officially declared the „Serbian Days“ manifestation open. 
 
The Serbian Days manifestation - the Serbian Culture Month in Hungary, is held with the blessing of Bishop Lukijian of Buda, organized by the Diocese of Buda. The patrons are the Cabinet of the President of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, and the partners are: the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, Ambassador of Bosnia and Hercegovina to Hungary Biljana Gutić-Bjelica, Self-Government of the Serbs in Hungary, Ljubomir Aleksov, Serbian Member of the Hungarian Parliament, Serbian Theater in Hungary, Association of Artists Krug , Association Art without Borders.
