The exhibition „Return of Milić of Mačva“ was opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Budapest on October 5th, 2023. The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, Maja Gojković, who pointed out that Serbian and Hungarian cultures have many things in common, and that the Serbian artist Milić Stanković contributed to Budapest and Hungary being even more strongly recognized as extremely important determinants in the history of the Serbian people and culture.

The guests were also addressed by Aleksandar Lončarević, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy, Eszter Vitálzos, Deputy Minister of Culture of Hungary, Simonida Stanković, daughter of Milić od Mačva and Milan Đurić, president of the Association of Artists "Krug" from Budapest.

The exhibition is part of the „Serbian Days“ manifestation program - the Serbian Culture Month in Hungary, organized by the Diocese of Buda. The patrons are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Srpska, and the partners are: the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Hungary, Biljana Gutić-Bjelica, the Self-Government of the Serbs in Hungary, Ljubomir Aleksov, a Serbian member of the Hungarian Parliament, the Serbian Theater in Hungary, the Association of Artists „Krug“, Art without Borders Association.
 
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition was attended by Bishop Lucian of Buda, Archbishop Banach, the Apostolic Nuncio in Hungary, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Serbian community in Hungary.
